About Me

My name is Amanda, and I am a conservation biologisIMG_4725.jpgt by education and field experience. I have a BS in Wildlife Conservation from University of Delaware and Master’s of Environmental Studies from University of Pennsylvania. My field experience ranges from wildlife rehabilitation, radio telemetry projects, banding birds, and monitoring riparian restoration. As I meander my way through my varied career path, I noticed a common interaction when I describe my field of study. Quite often I encounter the same question: “why does *insert species* matter?” I started this blog to explore some of those questions. You can read more about my mission in this blog post.
